Argent Docks Shop Guide
Every Argent Docks tab and price: Cognito Reload exchange rates, the Shard and Mind Grain exchanges, the Gift Shop stock, and all 30 Epiphany Archive titles.
The Argent Docks is Silver Palace's central shop, and almost every currency you earn ends up spent there. Four tabs run down the left rail: Cognito Reload turns Reactor Crystals into Revelation pulls, Cognito Assembly holds the two advancement exchanges, the Gift Shop sells character gifts for Ounce, and the Epiphany Archive sells Epiphany titles and Addendum inks.
This guide lists every tab, every item and every price as they stood in the Dichotomy Beta, along with the two decisions that actually cost you resources: which currency to buy your Shots with, and which weekly stock lines are worth clearing.
Currencies at a glance
Six currencies spend at the Argent Docks, and each one is locked to a single tab. Knowing which is which saves you walking the shop looking for a sink that does not exist.
| Currency | Tab | What it buys |
|---|---|---|
| Reactor Crystals | Cognito Reload | Revelation Shots at full price |
| Mind Shards | Cognito Assembly, Shard Exchange | Shots and character Mystery Motives |
| Mind Grains | Cognito Assembly, Mind Grain Exchange | Upgrade books, Concentrates, bookmarks, Shots |
| Ounce | Gift Shop | Character gifts |
| Fate Clippings | Epiphany Archive | Any listed Epiphany title |
| Surplus Materials | Epiphany Archive, Stationery Section | Custom Ink and Sketch Ink |
Note that Ounce appears on both sides of the counter: it is the Gift Shop's currency, and it is also sold in bundles on the Mind Grain Exchange.
Cognito Reload: buying Revelations with Reactor Crystals
Reactor Crystals are not spent on banners directly. You convert them into Shots here first, at a flat 360 Reactor Crystals per Shot, and the price does not change with the type.
The Cognito Reload tab, with the four tab names down the left rail and all four Shots at the same 360 Reactor Crystal price. Source: official Silver Palace Dichotomy Beta footage.
| Item | Cost in Reactor Crystals |
|---|---|
| Judgement Shot | 360 |
| Deduction Shot | 360 |
| Standard Shot | 360 |
| Bullet of Insight | 360 |
The four Shots are separate currencies, not interchangeable tokens. Each one pulls on exactly one banner type, and pity never crosses between them:
| Shot | Banner it pulls on |
|---|---|
| Judgement Shot | Limited character banners |
| Deduction Shot | Limited Motive banners |
| Standard Shot | The standard character banner |
| Bullet of Insight (also listed as Insight Shot) | The standard Motive banner |
At 360 apiece, a 10-pull costs 3,600 Reactor Crystals and the 100-Revelation ceiling on a limited character banner costs 36,000. The Motive ceiling is 80 Revelations, or 28,800. For the rates and pity mechanics those numbers are buying into, see the Gacha and banner rates guide.

Cognito Assembly: the Shard Exchange
The Shard Exchange is the best rate in the shop, and it is the reason duplicate pulls are worth banking. 12 Mind Shards buy any Shot, with no stock limit, which makes Mind Shards worth roughly thirty times their weight against the Reactor Crystal price.
The Shard Exchange: uncapped Shots at 12 Mind Shards, and four Mystery Motives at 90 with a stock of 2 each. Source: official Silver Palace Dichotomy Beta footage.
| Item | Cost in Mind Shards | Stock |
|---|---|---|
| Judgement Shot | 12 | None |
| Deduction Shot | 12 | None |
| Standard Shot | 12 | None |
| Bullet of Insight | 12 | None |
| The Flashbulb Mystery | 90 | 2 |
| The Office Mystery | 90 | 2 |
| The Mechanical Creations Mystery | 90 | 2 |
| The Fine Stitches Mystery | 90 | 2 |
Mind Shards come from pulling: a first copy of a 5-star character pays 20, the next six duplicates convert into Psyches and still pay 20 each, and from the seventh duplicate onward each copy pays 50. Because the Shots here are uncapped, there is no reason to spend Shards on anything else until the Mystery Motives you want are cleared.
Cognito Assembly: the Mind Grain Exchange
The Mind Grain Exchange is the bulk advancement counter, and every line on it carries a weekly stock cap. Mind Grains come from revealing 3-star Motives, so this is where the filler pulls end up.
| Item | Cost in Mind Grains | Weekly stock |
|---|---|---|
| Judgement Shot | 50 | 5 |
| Deduction Shot | 50 | 5 |
| Standard Shot | 50 | 5 |
| Bullet of Insight | 50 | 5 |
| The Science of All Things: Volume I x 20 | 10 | 50 |
| The Science of All Things: Volume II x 20 | 25 | 50 |
| The Science of All Things: Volume III x 20 | 50 | 50 |
| The Science of All Things: Volume IV x 20 | 110 | 50 |
| Rectified High-Temp Concentrate x 10 | 50 | 50 |
| Rectified Condensate Concentrate x 10 | 50 | 50 |
| Rectified Conductive Concentrate x 10 | 50 | 50 |
| Rectified Darkmatter Concentrate x 10 | 50 | 50 |
| Rectified Decay Concentrate x 10 | 50 | 50 |
| Rectified Essence Concentrate x 10 | 50 | 50 |
| Rectified Ferrugo Concentrate x 10 | 50 | 50 |
| Paper Bookmark of Conspiracy x 20 | 10 | 50 |
| Steel Bookmark of Deceit x 20 | 25 | 50 |
| Gold Bookmark of Simulation x 20 | 50 | 50 |
| Crystal Bookmark of Provenance x 20 | 110 | 50 |
| Ounce x 2000 | 10 | None |
Three things are worth reading off that table. First, a Shot costs 50 Mind Grains here against 12 Mind Shards next door, and it is capped at 5 a week, so the Grain Exchange is the worse of the two ways to buy pulls and should be your fallback rather than your habit.
Second, the books and bookmarks are tiered the same way: 10, 25, 50 and 110 for twenty of a rank. The Science of All Things books level characters and the bookmarks Amplify Motives, both covered in the Equipment and gear guide. Buying the top tier at 110 is only efficient once your team is high enough level that the lower volumes stop mattering.
Third, the seven Rectified Concentrates all sit at 50 for a stack of ten, one per Reactor Attribute. Buy against the characters you are actually levelling rather than clearing all seven lines, because the weekly stock of 50 is far beyond what any single roster needs.
Gift Shop
The Gift Shop is the flattest tab in the building: every item costs 10,000 Ounce, and every item has a weekly stock of 50. There is no price ranking to optimise, only the question of which gift a given character wants.
Ounce, the Royal Families' currency the Gift Shop runs on. Source: official Silver Palace Dichotomy Beta footage.
Eighteen gifts were stocked in the beta build:
- Preserved Bouquet
- Honey Gin
- Bunny Milk Sweets
- Small Weights Set
- Fine Silverium Calliper
- Silverium Terrarium
- Gossip Magazine
- Key Intel
- Scientific Horizons: The Compendium
- Limited-Edition Lipstick
- Exotic Finery
- Hardy Foliage
- Automaton Cat Doll
- Vintage Records
- Enamel Pocket Watch
- Fortuitous Amulet
- Rare Tropical Fruit
- Magician's Cards
The spread is deliberately wide, covering drink, jewellery, tools, reading material, pets and intel, which fits a roster that runs from constabulary officers to socialites. Ounce is the easiest currency in the game to accumulate, so treat the Gift Shop as a sink for surplus rather than something to budget around.
Epiphany Archive: Literary Works and Beginner Readers
The Epiphany Archive is the reason Fate Clippings exist. Any listed title costs a flat 1,000 Fate Clippings, which turns Epiphany collection from a drop-rate problem into a currency problem.

Fate Clippings are torn parts of Epiphanies, earned by salvaging titles you do not want and by clearing Hilbert's Hotel. That means an unwanted boss drop is never dead weight: it is progress toward the title you are actually building around.
The Archive splits its stock across two tabs. Literary Works carries 14 titles, Beginner Readers carries 16, and every one of the 30 costs the same 1,000:
| Literary Works | Beginner Readers |
|---|---|
| Cinderella | The Destined Death |
| Until Death Do Us Part | The Count of the Cavern |
| The Morgue Street Murder | Frustrations of Youth |
| Death of a Clerk | Diamond Necklace |
| Vengeance From the Void | The Fall of the House of Rot |
| Farewell, Chivalrous Age | The Cursed Hound |
| Killing That Which You Love | The Metamorphosis |
| Song of the Paladin | The Last Leaf |
| The Red Shoes | The Sword in Silvernia |
| Flattery and Honesty | White Beast of the Deep |
| The Tragedy of Man | The Hero's Shoulder |
| Return From the Underworld | The Priest and the Bread Thief |
| Resurrected Monstrosity | Bloodline Feud |
| The Barber of Meadow | Villainous Crown |
| The Price of Safe Passage | |
| The Castaway's Tale |
For what each title actually does on a build, and the real-world stories most of them are named after, see the Epiphany database and the Classical Curations lore page.
Epiphany Archive: the Stationery Section
The Archive's third tab sells the two Addendum inks, and it is the only place in the shop that takes Surplus Materials.
The Stationery Section, where Custom Ink and Sketch Ink are bought with Surplus Materials. Source: official Silver Palace Dichotomy Beta footage.
| Item | Cost in Surplus Materials |
|---|---|
| Custom Ink | 3,000 |
| Sketch Ink | 600 |
The five-to-one gap between them is the whole decision. Sketch Ink is the volume option for ordinary Addendum rolls, and Custom Ink is what you save for a Targeted Addendum on a character you have committed to. The Equipment and gear guide covers how Addendum rolling and rewriting work in practice.
What to buy first
The shop rewards a fixed order more than it rewards clever budgeting:
- Clear the Shard Exchange Shots. At 12 Mind Shards and no stock cap, this is the cheapest pull in the game. Spend Shards here before anywhere else.
- Take the Mystery Motives while stock lasts. Four titles at 90 Mind Shards, 2 each. They do not restock within a cycle.
- Buy Mind Grain books and bookmarks against real needs. Match the tier to your team's current level rather than buying the 110 lines on sight.
- Top up Concentrates for the Reactor Attributes you actually run. Seven lines are stocked, and no roster needs all seven at once.
- Take the weekly Mind Grain Shots only if Grains are otherwise idle. Five a week at 50 each is a poor rate, but it is not nothing once your book and bookmark needs are met.
- Spend Ounce on gifts last. Ounce accumulates faster than anything else in the shop, and gifts have no build impact.
Reactor Crystals sit outside that ladder entirely. They are the one currency with a hard opportunity cost, so decide which banner you are pulling before you convert them at Cognito Reload, not after.
Argent Docks FAQ
What is the Argent Docks in Silver Palace?
The Argent Docks is Silver Palace’s central shop. It runs four tabs down the left rail: Cognito Reload, where Reactor Crystals become Revelation pulls; Cognito Assembly, which holds the Shard Exchange and the Mind Grain Exchange for character advancement stock; the Gift Shop, which sells character gifts for Ounce; and the Epiphany Archive, which sells Epiphany titles for Fate Clippings and Addendum inks for Surplus Materials.
How much does a Revelation cost at the Argent Docks?
A flat 360 Reactor Crystals per Shot on the Cognito Reload tab, and the price is identical for all four types: Judgement Shot, Deduction Shot, Standard Shot and Bullet of Insight. That works out to 3,600 Reactor Crystals for a 10-pull and 36,000 for the 100-Revelation ceiling on a limited character banner.
Which Shot do you need for which banner?
Judgement Shots pull on limited character banners, Deduction Shots on limited Motive banners, Standard Shots on the standard character banner, and Bullets of Insight on the standard Motive banner. The four are separate currencies and pity never crosses between them, so buy against the banner you actually intend to pull.
Are Mind Shards or Mind Grains the better way to buy Shots?
Mind Shards, by a wide margin. The Shard Exchange sells any Shot for 12 Mind Shards with no stock cap, while the Mind Grain Exchange charges 50 Mind Grains for the same Shot and caps you at 5 per week. Spend Shards on Shots and keep Mind Grains for the upgrade books, Rectified Concentrates and bookmarks that only the Grain Exchange sells.
What can you buy in the Argent Docks Gift Shop?
Eighteen character gifts, every one of them 10,000 Ounce with a weekly stock of 50. The list runs from a Preserved Bouquet and Honey Gin to a Fine Silverium Calliper, an Automaton Cat Doll, Key Intel and Magician’s Cards, so the range covers most character tastes rather than repeating one gift type.
How do you buy a specific Epiphany instead of farming the drop?
The Epiphany Archive sells any listed title outright for 1,000 Fate Clippings, split across two tabs: Literary Works, which holds 14 titles, and Beginner Readers, which holds 16. Fate Clippings come from salvaging Epiphanies you do not want and from clearing Hilbert’s Hotel, so an unwanted drop is still progress toward the title you actually need.
What are Surplus Materials used for at the Argent Docks?
Surplus Materials buy the Addendum inks in the Stationery Section, the third tab of the Epiphany Archive. Custom Ink costs 3,000 and Sketch Ink costs 600. Those inks are what let you roll and rewrite Addendum effects on an Epiphany, so the Stationery Section is the sink that matters once your titles are collected.
Does Argent Docks stock reset?
Partly. The Mind Grain Exchange and the Gift Shop both list a weekly stock column, so those lines refill on a weekly cycle. The Cognito Reload tab has no stock limit at all, and the Shard Exchange caps the four character Mystery Motives at 2 each while leaving the Shots uncapped.
