An Epiphany is a book you slot into a character's single Epiphany slot on the Character Simulation screen. It grants four substats and one named Epiphany Effect, the unique passive that title carries. Every character equips exactly one, which makes the choice heavier than it looks: this is the only piece of gear in Silver Palace whose substats actually roll, because Implement pieces come with fixed values.

There are 30 Epiphanies in total, and all 30 are named after a real book, myth, or play. If you came for the literary side of that, the full source-text breakdown maps every title to its original, from Hamlet to Moby-Dick to the two Norse Eddas. This page is the gameplay half: what each book actually does when you equip it.

Titles show up at Lv.20, Lv.40, Lv.60 and Lv.70, and the level is baked into the copy you get rather than being something you level up. To raise an Epiphany's substats you feed it duplicate copies of the same title, and each duplicate randomly upgrades one substat until everything is maxed. Six steps take a substat from its opening value to its ceiling, and every page below carries a slider that walks you through all six.

Where Epiphanies come from

  • Boss encounters on the map, such as Wolf King's Hunt at Felix, Morgue Street, High Peers, have a chance to drop the specific titles tied to that fight.
  • The Argent Docks Epiphany Archive sells any listed title outright for 1,000 Fate Clippings, which is the reliable route when a drop refuses to appear.
  • Fate Clippings come from salvaging Epiphanies you do not want, and from clearing Hilbert's Hotel, which also hands out a random Lv.60 Epiphany as a Check-In Incentive.

One thing that trips people up when comparing screenshots: the extra "[Character] Enhancement" line on some Epiphany panels is an Addendum, a separate re-rollable upgrade track, not part of the Epiphany. Two copies of the same book can carry completely different Addendum lines. The equipment guide covers Sketch Ink, Custom Ink and Targeted Addendum in full.

How to read this list

Open any book above for its own page: the fixed main stat, all three substats at every one of the six upgrade steps, the Epiphany Effect in full, and the story the title comes from. The grid is sorted by drop level, so the four Lv.20 titles come first and the Lv.70 titles last.

A few patterns show up once you have all of them side by side:

  • Conversion effects dominate. Most titles take one stat past a threshold and convert the overflow into something else: CRIT Rate into ATK (The Destined Death), CRIT Rate into CRIT DMG (The Sword in Silvernia), Break Exploit into DMG Bonus (White Beast of the Deep), Stun Buildup into ATK (Villainous Crown). Building past the threshold is the whole point, so a stat that looks overcapped often is not.
  • Reactor Attribute payoffs are the support niche. The Metamorphosis and The Hero's Shoulder both key off teammates sharing the holder's Reactor Attribute, which pushes them toward mono-attribute teams. See the Reactor Attributes guide for how those groupings work.
  • Three titles are attribute-locked outright. Killing That Which You Love scales Glacies DMG, Until Death Do Us Part scales Ignis DMG, and Vengeance From the Void keys off Fulmen. Those three only make sense on a matching character.
  • Healers get their own bracket. Diamond Necklace, The Last Leaf, The Priest and the Bread Thief and Return From the Underworld all convert healing into a team-wide offensive buff rather than into more healing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is an Epiphany in Silver Palace?

An Epiphany is a book that slots into a character's single Epiphany slot on the Character Simulation screen. It grants four substats plus one named Epiphany Effect, the unique passive that particular title carries. It is the closest thing Silver Palace has to a Genshin artifact, except you equip exactly one instead of a set.

How many Epiphanies are there in Silver Palace?

There are 30 Epiphanies, and every one is named after a real book, myth, or play. This page lists all 30 with their full effect text.

How do you get Epiphanies?

Two main sources. Map boss encounters such as Wolf King's Hunt drop specific Epiphany titles tied to that fight, and the Argent Docks Epiphany Archive sells any listed title outright for 1,000 Fate Clippings. Fate Clippings come from salvaging Epiphanies you do not want, and Hilbert's Hotel hands out both Fate Clippings and a random Lv.60 Epiphany.

Do Epiphany substats roll?

Yes, and they are the only rollable substats in the game. Implement pieces have fixed values, so all substat variance lives on your one Epiphany. Feeding in a duplicate copy of the same title randomly upgrades one substat, and nothing is wasted: you can keep feeding dupes until every substat is maxed.

What is the extra character bonus shown on some Epiphany panels?

That is an Addendum, a separate upgrade track, not part of the Epiphany itself. One Sketch Ink rolls a random Addendum, while one Custom Ink plus one Sketch Ink rolls a Targeted Addendum tied to a specific character. Two copies of the same Epiphany can carry completely different Addendum lines.
