How to read a faction infobox

The faction infobox is a short banner above a character's name on their splash art, naming their primary faction and giving a one-line description of what that group is. It is the closest thing Silver Palace has published to an official org chart.

Throughout this guide the member tables use a Status column so you always know how solid a placement is:

• Confirmed means the character appears in that faction's art or is named in a faction infobox.
• Speculated means the placement is a community reading from art, quotes, or story hints, not a stated fact.

A useful early takeaway: characters can sit in more than one faction. Alf and Firtho both belong to S.T.A.T.S. while also holding roles elsewhere, so treat these as overlapping circles, not sealed boxes.

S.T.A.T.S. (Surveillance, Tracking and Troubleshooting Services)

The detective's faction, and the home and office of the famed detective duo at S.T.A.T.S., once the city's most distinguished detectives. This is the agency the whole story runs through, and the S.T.A.T.S. group art gathers most of the core cast under one roof.

Corner Clinic

Firtho's clinic, lab, and workplace, known as a place of no return among local punks and gangs. It is where the detectives go to find sweet lady Firtho when an autopsy is needed on her operating table.

M.I.S.S. (Maid Institute, Society and Services)

Where maids and other servicepeople are trained and hired. Beyond hospitality, members can be hired as bodyguards and mercenaries, and the agency appears to train its people in firearms and combat.

River Constabulary

The wealthy top echelon of Silvernian society. The Aristocracy are landowners, capitalists, and businesspeople; the Nobility are the families closest to the crown, many of whom own land and business in Silvernia and dabble in court politics and conspiracies.

The people who work Silvernia's factories and businesses, and the beating heart of the city. This is less a faction than a broad social stratum, but the infoboxes have started tagging characters to it.

These groups range from ambiguous power players to open enemies you can fight in the world.

United Mining Industry (UMI)

A major corporation in Silvernia, run by people outside the old aristocracy, that has driven closer collaboration between the nobility and royalty than the aristocracy ever managed. UMI has been hugely successful in the reactor trade through mass-produced Reactors and has taken significant market share, which enrages aristocrats who fear the capitalists will uproot their wealth and status. Side-quest dialogue suggests UMI is not new at all; its recent rise to dominance, not its founding, is what happened within the last few years.

The Purists

A local secret society that appears to exploit the powers of Silverium to gain power and carry out assassinations. They have been tied to several attempts on Queen Auguria and to the airship crash where the Queen was ultimately killed and the S.T.A.T.S. duo disappeared. The faction seems to be at odds with UMI and the crown, whose collaboration threatens to uproot their power.

Creatures and humans born from myths, legends, fables, and fairytales. They carry non-human traits and features drawn from their storybook counterparts. Members appear to be extremely powerful and are likely to be flagship characters, comparable in plot weight to the marquee units other gacha titles build their stories around.

Likely a local mercenary company or an organized crime group. In the trailers and CBT1, Black Knights tied to UMI appear as open-world enemies you can fight, which raises an unanswered question: what happened in the intervening years to turn them hostile toward the Detective?
