Silver Palace food and drink
Every dish, drink and snack in Silvernia with its full lore text, and which characters eat what.
Silvernia's food is written like the rest of the game: every snack, pint and pizza slice carries a short piece of flavour text, and most of it is about who eats the thing rather than how it tastes. This page lists all 85 with that text in full, so you can read the city's menu without opening a single item screen.
Seven members of the cast have something to say about food. Captain Kaboom buys milk for her crew and refuses coffee, Bentham lives on it, and Cynthia II wants to know why bakeries won't copy McBarley's toy-shaped bread. Their lines are quoted first, and every dish they touch is marked on its card below.
For the reading behind the menu, including why every restaurant dish comes in three prices for three social classes, see Silver Palace food and drink: every shop, menu and buff.
Who eats what
Every line quoted here is the game's own text, from a character's profile, voice lines or Motive story. Tap a dish to jump to its card.
Eats like the child she is: sweets, milk, bread and jam. She runs the milk errand for her whole crew, and she will not touch black coffee, which is a little funny given that Bitter Laugh Coffee is sold as a favourite of the mining company she works for.
"Though she may complain about the kids' meals that UMI provides, she's certainly got the eating habits you'd expect of a child her age: favouring sweets, milk, bread and jam, and other similar foods."
"Number One likes hot, Three likes sweet, Six likes stinky cheese... Brilliant! Just enough change. Time to bring the crew some milk!"
"Being treated like a child, getting bullied by teammates, getting injured, black coffee"
"Yaaawn... Need to stay awake for the night shift. Coffee? Blegh. I don't drink that bitter stuff."
Preferred food gift: Bunny Milk Sweets
The other side of the same company. Coffee is the first thing on her list of likes, and her Motive story opens her private office with a cup of hand-ground coffee.
"Coffee, watch maintenance, handicrafts"
"This seems like a wonderful time for a cup of coffee... Hmm, I may as well draft the documents for next week's conference."
"What will it be today: a cup of hand-ground coffee?"
Bribed with sweets, refused a drink at the bar, and puzzled that bakeries will not copy McBarley's toy-shaped bread. Her two pets are called Cakeball and Toast.
"Why won't they bake bread in the shapes of Toast and Doughnut? Are the copyright fees too high?"
"You want this, Detective? Sure, but you gotta give me some sweets for it!"
"Why won't the grown-ups let me drink? Because of the law? Hmph. When I go home, I'll ask my cousin to change it!"
Preferred food gift: Bunny Milk Sweets, Rare Tropical Fruit
Tempted by the bread at Wheaty Baker & Deli and too dutiful to eat it in uniform.
"Mmm, this bread smells delicious... No, NO! A Silverknight can't eat while on duty. It would look really unknightly!"
Tends bar at the Memoir Bar and does not drink on the clock. The game does not say which bar pours the cocktails below, so treat them as what he would be mixing, not as his menu.
"Wondering why they call it the "Memoir Bar"? Perhaps from the memories that float to our minds after a cocktail or three. What'll you be having?"
"Never drinks so much as a drop of alcohol while on the clock. Surprisingly, for a bartender, he can't hold his liquor all that well."
Preferred food gift: Honey Gin
Off the clock at the Memoir Bar, talking himself into one shot. The game does not name his drink.
"I won't be able to keep myself dry here! I'm not off duty yet... But a single shot never hurt anyone, did it?"
Preferred food gift: Honey Gin
Says she can cook. Also worries she left the cooker on. Bunny Milk Sweets is one of her preferred gifts.
"Number 49 of MISS, A, Alf, at your service. I can cook, clean, fight, and more!"
"I turned off the taps and the lights, and closed the doors and the windows... Wait! The cooker! I might've forgotten about the cooker!"
Preferred food gift: Bunny Milk Sweets
Ashley's only food-adjacent line is set at the Voicepipe Café, and it is about gossip, not the menu.
"My interview was the first time I'd set foot here. You hear all sorts in this place, secrets, intel, gossip."

What 5 named shops sell under their own name. Each card shows the shop.
A novel product following the popularisation of Glacies Reactors. It's softer than a typical ice lolly and makes one's break time just that much sweeter.

A novel product following the popularisation of Glacies Reactors. Children from rich families flaunt their parents' wealth with this. It satisfies a hungry stomach as well as the need to become the most envied kid in the entire alley.

Mrs Comoz bakes this soda bread fresh everyday. If this soft, delicious-smelling bread is served with Mrs Comoz's smile, it will keep one happy for an entire day.

A masterpiece of Mrs. Comoz's mistake. It will definitely keep one awake. The unfortunate one who got this bread will be compensated. However, there are patrons who actually enjoy this flavour.

Smooth, clean, and freshly squeezed milk. Flavoured milk beverages are becoming increasingly popular, but this traditional serving of fresh milk with nothing else is rather popular due to its tip-top quality.

Nutritious, rich, and finely textured hard cheese with plenty of eyes.
Mr. Hunter has repeatedly explained that the eyes are a result of gas bubbles from the cheese-making process. However, many patrons still adamantly believe that the eyes are evidence of the boss using the cheese as punching bags in the middle of the night.

Stacks of paper-thin potato slices, each perfectly golden and crisp. Every bite reveals a burst of flavour.
Tip: If you're taking it home, eat it on the way. Once it cools, that crispy, fragrant tower turns into little more than a greasy potato patty.

The smallest burger on the menu, perfect for children or those with smaller appetites. "Why not sell even smaller, single-patty burgers", you ask? Well sorry, but Burgerstack Masters just doesn't do things that way!

Beneath its sturdy pastry crust, a delightful blend of sweet and savoury awaits, melting in your mouth. Only those with strong, healthy teeth can truly savour this treat.

Bread baked with care, for those who labour with care. Still warm from the oven, it is soft, fluffy, and fragrant, with a delicate sweetness that melts on the tongue. The highlight of any worker's breakfast.
Street snacks and auto vendors
Packaged sweets, McBarley's toy-shaped bread and the auto-vendor prizes. No shop sells these by name.
A cheap bar of oats. Great for giving some instant satiety.
A chocolate bar with various nuts. They say its street reputation is on par with the Queen's authority. Even the most unruly street urchin would run an errand for this treat.
Rhubarb, raspberries, morning dew, an assassin's regret, betrayal of a loyal minister... They say these sweets offer all sorts of flavours from all sorts of life. Ad campaigns nowadays are getting wilder with every episode.
The design of this packaged torus-shaped sweet pastry is based on "Doughnut", a toy made by McBarley. A simple bite anytime, anywhere, is enough to satisfy any peckish passerby.
The design of this packaged sliced toast is based on "Toast", a toy made by McBarley. Forget about the rich aromas and softness of something freshly baked in an oven. Instead, "Toast" is served via auto vendors poised to conquer every corner of the city.
The design of this packaged bread is based on "Baguette", a toy made by McBarley. Shorter than a real baguette but longer than the auto vendor's pickup port, the package can only be retrieved by clever use of three-dimensional geometry.

Pressing the buttons of an auto vendor in a mysterious and complicated sequence will make it yield an entire pallet of drinks. You can then share them with your friends.

This secret tin has a 0.07% chance to appear at an auto vendor. It is a symbol of luck on par with the lucky horseshoe. Those who successfully draw this item are advised to test their luck against the Fox Croupier of Shadow's End, or lose their entire fortune for a dinner of tins.
Home cooking
Dishes you make yourself. Each one is taught by its own recipe item, and none of them is on a shop shelf.

Simple in its ingredients and easy to make, it's a great option for novice chefs trying their hand. If only ice cubes were a bit cheaper, it would be the perfect homemade dessert.

Some prefer their wraps with vegetables. But why not just add more bacon instead? And if you're worried about it being a bit heavy on the stomach, just add in a little sour cream, or sip on some soda water!

A humble, everyday breakfast made extraordinary. The secret? An extra egg that gives this dish a silky texture, rather than the coarseness of your average porridge.

Light snacks introduced alongside the triple-concentrated drinks range. Just a small portion is said to provide enough energy to power you through the entire morning, making them ideal for busy professionals who barely have time for breakfast.

Believed to be a popular home remedy from the Jon's Pizza founder's childhood. Made by simmering a slice of burnt toast for five to ten minutes, it's a kind of savoury broth that aids digestion.
Its effectiveness is up for debate, but it most certainly sparked the young Jon's lifelong love of baking.

Pierre's Food for Thought, Chapter 2: "Can't afford marbled beef? No matter. Simply brush a thin layer of honey over your steak, and you'll enjoy a meal that rivals even the finest restaurants."

A hot drink that developed from eggnog. It's a pick-me-up useful for those feeling a little weak, but most enjoy it purely for its traditional, classic taste.

Its alcohol kick may seem strong at first sip, but then a warming spice hits one's tongue, spreading throughout the body. Like an austere queen upon her throne, beneath its tough exterior there's a gentle and warm heart to it.

Believed to have been inspired by the South Church Quarter cobblestones, left slippery and well-trodden after rainfall. With a base of ever-so-bitter dark chocolate, along with marshmallow and assorted nuts, it has a rather unique shape and a heady taste of chocolate. Undoubtedly one of the standout creations among 897 Roastery's menu in recent years.
