Silver Palace Mementos
All 26 Hilbert's Hotel Mementos with their full effect text, which ones cost you something, and how the economy and combat sets change a run.
A Memento is a run-scoped artifact you pick up inside Hilbert's Hotel. Some doors in the crawl open onto a Random Event rather than a fight, and the branch you choose pays out a Memento. It applies for the rest of that run and expires when the run ends. There are 26 of them, and they either change your run economy or change how your team fights.
Not every Memento is a buff
This is the part the draft screen does not tell you. Three Mementos do nothing but take something away, and all three of them are Common:
- Maw of Greed cuts the Hilbert's Hotel Vouchers you earn per battle by 25%.
- VIP Service List raises every Supplies Shop price by 30%.
- Depreciating Bond shaves 5% off your Voucher total with every event you complete, which compounds the longer the run goes.
A further 7 buy a real gain with a real cost, and two of those are worth reading twice. Both Silverium Gauntlets set a crit stat rather than adding to it, so the Right one caps your CRIT DMG at 200% and the Left caps your CRIT Rate at 50%. On a character already past those numbers, the gauntlet is a downgrade wearing a gold border.
So rarity in Hilbert's Hotel is closer to polarity than to quality. A Legendary is always worth taking; a Common is a coin flip.

The four matched pairs
Four Mementos are drawn as exact opposites of another, same clause and same shape, one helping and one hurting. They look alike in an offer, which is the problem.
| What it moves | Helps | Hurts | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Vouchers earned per battle | Gold Pot | Maw of Greed | Same clause, opposite sign. Gold Pot pays 50% more, Maw of Greed pays 25% less. |
| Vouchers held, per event | Appreciating Bond | Depreciating Bond | These compound, so they matter most on a long run rather than a short one. |
| Shop prices | Sales Voucher | VIP Service List | 30% either way, on everything the Supplies Shop sells. |
| Critical hits | Silverium Gauntlet: Left | Silverium Gauntlet: Right | Neither is strictly bad. The Left trades CRIT Rate down to 50% for +300% CRIT DMG, the Right trades CRIT DMG down to 200% for guaranteed crits. |
Economy Mementos
The first 10 all move Hilbert's Hotel Vouchers, the currency you spend in the Supplies Shop mid-run. They compound with each other, so their value depends entirely on how early you take them: Hotel Souvenir Coin pays 100 Vouchers for every Memento you already hold, and Luxury Sweets Jar pays out again every time you gain one. Take either late and it pays; take either first and it pays almost nothing.
Doubled Chips is the exception, a flat 50% of whatever you are carrying at the moment you take it, so it wants to be picked when your total is at its peak rather than early.
Combat Mementos
The remaining 16 change a fight. Two patterns are worth knowing before you draft.
The first is the cycling damage bonus. Lucky Rabbit Foot climbs from 0 to 140% over ten seconds then resets; Secret Society Charm falls from 200% to -60% over ten seconds then resets. Average the two cycles and they land in the same place, but the Charm front-loads its bonus and spends the back half of every cycle making you worse. It suits a character who opens hard and then swaps out.
The second is the pair of tool kits. Guest Room Tool Kit restores 25% Reactor Energy when a side character uses their Tactical Assault, while Professional Tool Kit doubles both the cost and the effect of those same assaults. They point in opposite directions on the same system, and taking both mostly cancels out.
Where Mementos come from
- Random Events are the source. Some doors open onto a short dialogue scene with a branching choice instead of a fight, and the branch you pick decides what the room pays.
- They last one run. Mementos are drafted inside a crawl and expire with it, the same way the hotel's own Catalysts do.
- They survive a save and resume. Leaving the hotel part-way and coming back drops you at the room you left with your Mementos intact.
- You are not offered every one. A single run sees a fraction of the 26, which is why knowing the bad ones on sight is worth more than knowing the best one.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Memento in Silver Palace?
A Memento is a run-scoped artifact you pick up inside Hilbert's Hotel. Some doors in the crawl open onto a Random Event rather than a fight, and the branch you choose pays out a Memento. It applies for the rest of that run and expires when the run ends. There are 26, and they either change your run economy or change how your team fights.
How many Mementos are there in Silver Palace?
There are 26: 3 Common, 9 Rare, 10 Epic and 4 Legendary. This page lists all 26 with their full effect text.
How do you get Mementos in Hilbert's Hotel?
From Random Events. Not every door in a run is a fight; some open onto a short dialogue scene with a branching choice, such as a luggage attendant asking which of two lost cases is yours. The branch you pick decides which Memento the room pays out. You are offered only a fraction of the 26 in any one run.
Do Mementos carry over between Hilbert's Hotel runs?
No. A Memento lasts for the run you drafted it in and expires with it, the same way the hotel's own run-scoped Catalysts do. Leaving part-way through and coming back later is different: a save and resume drops you at the room you left with your Mementos still held.
Are any Mementos bad to take?
Yes, and the rarity colour will not warn you. Three do nothing but cost you, and all three are Common: Maw of Greed cuts the Vouchers you earn per battle by 25%, VIP Service List raises every shop price by 30%, and Depreciating Bond shaves 5% off your Voucher total with every event you complete. A further 7 buy a real gain with a real cost.
Are Mementos the same as Hilbert's Hotel Catalysts?
No, though both last only for the run. Hotel Catalysts are drafted after combat rooms, start at Lv. 1 of 3 and upgrade into Refined versions inside the run. Mementos come from Random Events, arrive at full strength and never level. Neither has anything to do with the permanent Reactor Catalysts you equip outside the hotel.
