Silver Palace's bunny knight: who Gratia really is
Gratia, Silver Palace's bunny knight, is a 5-star Glacies Guardian sworn to Queen Feliana, and her name is the Latin word for grace, the thing she fights in the name of. Her lance, her gear and her gifts say more about her than her quest does.

Her Dichotomy beta quest is the version most players know, and Her Majesty's Protégé: the Order of the Tide retells it. That post covers the lost Silverium steed she names Top Hat, the harpy at the Royal Equestrian Tournament, her disqualification, and the Queen's Herald admitting the attack was staged. This post leaves the plot alone. It reads the text the game files under her name and around it: the lance her Ultimate summons, the two Epiphanies about knights, the Implement set that took the knights' place, the gifts she wants and the commission items she leaves behind.
Read together, they describe the last believer in an institution the city has quietly moved past. She keeps the job partly because she has not noticed.
Her name is the Queen's grace
Her title page says she "raises her sword and shield in the name of knightly honour and the Queen's grace." Gratia is Latin for grace, and for favour, which the name origins breakdown already points out. A knight called Grace, fighting for the Queen's grace, under the title "Her Majesty's Protégé", is a knight defined by the royal favour she enjoys. A protégé is exactly that, someone under another person's protection and patronage.
The lance takes the pun further. Her Ultimate voice line names the weapon: "Come forth, Royal Lance, Glorious Aglaea!" In Greek myth Aglaea is one of the three Charites, the Graces, and her name means splendour or glory. The Romans called the three of them the Gratiae. So Gratia carries a lance named after one of the Graces she is named after, and the Ultimate that throws it is called Spear of Glory, which is Aglaea's name in plain English. That is three layers of the same joke in one battle shout.
The Ultimate's own description has a quieter line under the numbers: "Channel Silverium into one's right palm, imbue it with a spiralling energy... Let it ebb and flow like the lunar tides." Her order is the Order of the Tide, and the moon drives the tide. When Elementa picked a character for its Mid-Autumn art, it chose Gratia reaching for the moon, cast as the moon rabbit of Chinese legend. The one noble her idle lines mention besides the Queen is "Lady Cynthia", whose family is House Luna. The rabbit ears tie her to the moon, and the moon to her order, long before anyone tells you which queen she serves.
The two knightly arts she cannot stand
Her profile lists her dislikes as "The chess and poetry championed in the Seven Chivalric Arts, all things evil, all mistakes she's made in the past." Her skills read "Wrestling, shield training, horsemanship, slot machines."
The Seven Chivalric Arts are a real medieval list. Petrus Alfonsi set them down in the Disciplina Clericalis in the early twelfth century as the skills a knight should master: riding, swimming, archery, boxing, hawking, chess and writing verse. Five of them are done with the body. Two are done sitting down. Gratia keeps the five and rejects the two, and it is the most exact piece of characterisation in her file. She is a knight of the arm, and the game knew the source well enough to pick the two arts she would hate. It also sits nicely against the name origins post's reading of her as a piece on the Queen's chessboard. The knight who refuses to learn chess is the one being moved around on a board.
The list explains her other contradiction. Horsemanship is on her skills line, and her intel credits her with "many achievements under her belt", yet it adds that "she's not very good at communicating with her steed. It's a constant issue for her." Her own riding line is blunter: "I'm not very good with horses. They don't really like me." Her quest opens with the Queen's horse missing for the same reason.

The horse is in her head anyway. Her Trait, the item the game uses to awaken her Psyche, describes her inner life in one line: "A bright, warm thought that brings with it the echo of hooves upon stone..." The thought that defines her is the animal that won't cooperate with her. It is also warm, on a Glacies knight whose attacks freeze.
Her Basic Attack is called Blunted Blade. The tournaments of the period her arts come from were fought with blunted, "rebated" weapons, so the name puts her in the lists before it puts her on a battlefield. The line under it reads "Combat mastery is possible even for the clumsy and inept, given enough time and perseverance." The Royal Equestrian Tournament, which she trains for every year and has never won, is that sentence acted out.
Two knights in her equipment tab
Two Epiphanies on the shelf are about knights, and both fit her. The literary breakdown of every Epiphany traces each to its source.
Song of the Paladin is The Song of Roland. Its text is Roland at the end of the poem, trying to shatter his sword so the enemy cannot take it, and failing because the blade is sacred: "Though once we battled our way through the lands together, now look at us, old friend. My valiant blade. How unfortunate you are!" It is the Epiphany this site recommends for her on mechanics alone. It raises HP by 20%, which makes every shield she casts 20% larger, and each shield she provides arms its Kite Shield bonus.
The poem fits better than the numbers. Roland is the knight who refuses to blow his horn for help until it is too late, and the poem sums up him and his companion in one line: "Roland is brave, and Oliver is wise." Gratia's second Psyche is called The Foolish and the Brave.
Farewell, Chivalrous Age is Don Quixote. An "aged knight" tells his squire he will "bring the battle to the giant there, and put an end to his evil," then spurs his steed at a windmill. Quixote lost his wits reading chivalric romances. Gratia's Motive opens with "The chivalry sung of in epics has grown faint." She is a knight out of the epics in a city that stopped reading them.
On numbers, this one is wrong for her. Its bonus is Break Exploit and stun buildup, and she is a shielder. Its trigger is right for her, though. Parrying grants all five stacks of Chivalrous Dream at once, and parrying is what her whole kit is built around.
So the game hands her two knights. Roland dies proving that courage without caution costs lives. Quixote charges windmills for a code nobody else still follows. Gratia's build wears the first, and her story keeps writing her as the second.
The city has already replaced its knights
Her Motive, The Chivalry Mystery, is the most direct thing the game says about her (Elementa posted it publicly on October 30, 2026 as "Hidden Pages"), and it is hard on her order: "the Knights' reputation has yet to recover since the airship incident." It then asks two questions a knight is supposed to have settled. "To protect the weak, does that do injustice to anyone? To serve the nobility, what then of the people?" Gratia never answers them. Instead she "handles the dangers within her sight, confronts the crises within her reach, and does nothing that goes against her conscience."
The Motive ends with why she has the job. "The young woman in a position of power said: let her become the representative of chivalric ideals, until we once again believe in the virtues of honesty, kindness, and courage."
It does not name the young woman, so what follows is a reading, not a fact. Queen Feliana's own subjects describe her as very young, per the royal family tree. In the quest, it is her Herald who admits the tournament harpy was staged to restore the order's standing. Put the two side by side and the Motive is the same plan seen from the other end. Gratia was made the face of the knights because she is honest enough to be believed. "A guileless heart... turns out to be a strength as well," the Motive says. It is a strength for the people using it.
What filled the gap is in the Implements. The four-piece set To Serve and Protect, from Defender of Justice to Eradicator of the Lawless, carries one line on every piece: "Perhaps a mere temporary measure in the knights' absence, for now. But there shall come a day when they grow to symbolise law and justness in the hearts of all." To Serve and Protect is a police motto, and the set reads as the constabulary, written as a stopgap that expects to become permanent. The River Constabulary circular A Call for Harmony records the friction, with brawls between constables and members of the Order of the Tide. The knights and the police are fighting over a job the Implement text has already handed to the police.
The game's shield materials tell the same story in miniature:
- Novice's Round Shield, "fit for an aspiring knight": "For many, it's the first shield they ever raise, and the last."
- Tide Crest Shield, named for her order and "granted to official knights, and also to squires who have proven their might." Knight households hand it down as an heirloom.
- Lunar Shield, held only by "the very greatest knights", whose knight "shall always recall that day: when the queen bestowed upon them that shield, and all the glory it carried."
Honour in this city arrives as a gift from the throne, and that is the only kind Gratia is after. The first thing on her list of likes is "Gaining the Queen's recognition."
Even Cynthia II dreams about knights. In her Motive, The Daydream Mystery, she rallies a toy legion and calls upon "knights who would never think of betrayal" to save her cousin. A noble girl imagines loyal knights the way a child does, and Gratia's fans in her quest are children too.
The luck she keeps being promised
Her last listed skill is slot machines. For a knight whose quest finds her dogged by bad luck, that is either a joke or a confession.
Luck follows her through the item text:
- Her preferred gifts on the gifts page are a Small Weights Set, a Gossip Magazine ("royal scandals, police intrigue, knightly affairs") and a Fortuitous Amulet, "said to be crafted from blessed Argent Strand Silverium... Yet perhaps the wearer's belief matters more in the end."
- Her Private Request, Bewildered Bunny and Mr Horse, leaves behind a Four-Leaf Clover Brooch "said to bring the wearer good luck, be they human... or bunny." The achievement that goes with it is Bunny's Four-Leaf Clover. The whole job is on the commissions guide.
- Her third Psyche is called Failed Hopes.
In the quest, the Queen's Herald asks the Detective to keep guiding Gratia from the shadows as her "lucky four-leaf clover", and to keep her unaware of the staging. Now read her fifth Psyche, Under Your Guidance, next to her Inner Feelings line: "With you by my side, I feel like I can do anything. Will you... continue to stay with me and guide me?"

She asks the Detective, openly, for exactly what the Herald arranged in secret. Her luck is a person the crown assigned to her. Treat this as theory. Nothing in the game says the Inner Feelings line was written with the Herald's request in mind. But it is the same request, using the same word, from the one person in the arrangement who does not know about it.
A warm thought in cold armour
The softer items finish the picture, and they are the funniest text she has. The commission sandwich she packs is "bunny-shaped" and "stuffed full with orange, carrot, lettuce and a few slivers of cheese. You daren't imagine how it tastes." At Wheaty Baker & Deli she talks herself out of a loaf: "A Silverknight can't eat while on duty. It would look really unknightly!" At dusk, once the knights change shift, she asks the Detective along for "something tasty". Her Scattered Thoughts line is a dream about being a rabbit eating sweet carrots.
Her Passive calls her armour "a most luxurious, wearable fortress" forged from high-purity Silverium. The Filtered Essence Concentrate material, Silverium at 78% purity, lists "high-tier knight armour" among its few uses. She cannot explain any of it. At the Gravity Bridge she says "They say the Gravity Bridge works on a similar principle to our armour... But I still don't get it. Similar how!?" She wears the most expensive object her order owns with no idea how it works, which is also a fair description of her post.
The verdict
Every item in Gratia's orbit agrees the city no longer needs her kind of knight. The Implements have handed her job to the constables. Her own Motive admits the order's name is still damaged. The Epiphanies offer her Roland and Quixote, and neither story ends well. What she has instead is a name that means the Queen's favour, a lance named for the Graces, and a Detective assigned to be her luck.
The game is kind to her anyway, and that is the part worth holding on to. Everyone around her is using her guileless heart, and the text keeps suggesting she is the only one who means what a knight is supposed to mean. If chivalry comes back in Silvernia, it will be because somebody believed in it without being told it was a performance. The only candidate on the roster is the knight nobody has told.
Her full kit, stats and voice lines are on Gratia's character page, and the plot of her quest is in the story recap.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who is the bunny knight in Silver Palace?
Gratia, a 5-star Glacies Guardian with the Survival and Healing Combat Style. She is an Argent Knight of the Order of the Tide, chosen by Queen Feliana as her personal guard, and she wears rabbit ears. The rest of her kit is on her character page.
What does the name Gratia mean?
Gratia is Latin for grace or favour. Her title page has her fighting "in the name of knightly honour and the Queen's grace." Her lance, Glorious Aglaea, is named after one of the three Graces of Greek myth, whom the Romans called the Gratiae.
What is Gratia's lance called?
Glorious Aglaea, which she calls a Royal Lance. She summons it with her Ultimate, Spear of Glory. Aglaea means splendour or glory, so the skill's name is the lance's name in plain English.
What are the Seven Chivalric Arts Gratia dislikes?
A medieval list of the skills a knight should master, set down by Petrus Alfonsi in the early twelfth century: riding, swimming, archery, boxing, hawking, chess and writing verse. Gratia's profile says she dislikes the chess and poetry. Her listed skills are wrestling, shield training, horsemanship and slot machines.
Which Epiphany is best for Gratia?
Song of the Paladin. It raises HP by 20%, and her team-wide shield is a share of her Max HP, so every shield gets bigger. It is also the Epiphany about Roland, which suits her. Farewell, Chivalrous Age, the Don Quixote Epiphany, fits her story but rewards stun buildup, which is not her job.
What is Gratia's personality like?
Earnest, devoted to the Queen to the point of quoting her, brave in a fight and openly bad at the scholarly side of knighthood. She dislikes chess and poetry, struggles with horses despite her riding record, and likes cats, carrots and tales of justice. Her Motive calls her "a guileless heart."
