Silver Palace Gem Rewards in CBT2 and Pull Costs
One Revelation costs 360 Reactor Crystals, and the CBT2 build pays those crystals out in clear tiers: 100 from a gold chest, 50 from a blue one, 5 from a world puzzle, and anywhere from 50 to 600 from a commission depending on its category. That works out to roughly one pull every two and a half days from dailies alone, before you touch chests, commissions, or either of the two progression ladders.
Every figure below was read directly off an in-game reward panel captured during CBT2 streams. The handful of numbers that could not be confirmed from a screenshot are listed separately at the end rather than mixed in.
What a pull actually costs
Reactor Crystals are the premium currency, but they are not the pull currency. You exchange them at the Argent Docks for Shots, and Shots are what a Revelation consumes:
- Judgement Shot for character banners
- Deduction Shot for Motive banners
- Standard Shot for the standard character banner
- Bullet of Insight for the standard Motive banner
All four cost 360 Reactor Crystals each. That single flat price is why a crystal total converts cleanly into pulls no matter which banner you are saving for. 3,600 crystals is a 10-pull, on any banner.
For the rates and pity those pulls feed into, see the Gacha Guide. The short version: 0.8% base on a 5-star, with the featured 5-star guaranteed at 100 Revelations on a character banner and 80 on a Motive banner.

Thought Experiment and Hilbert's Hotel: the endgame math
The two repeatable endgame modes pay out on different schedules, and both are worth totaling separately from the daily/chest sources above. A tester's full clear of Thought Experiment's 10 stages, shown in this build under the header "Thought Experiment," tallied close to 4,000 Reactor Crystals, about 11.1 Revelations. That is a one-time total rather than a repeatable weekly figure, and it lands a little ahead of Wuthering Waves' Tower of Adversity, which paid 800 crystals apiece (about 5 pulls each) from its stable and experimental zones at launch. See the Thought Experiment guide for the stage-by-stage breakdown.
Hilbert's Hotel, the weekly mode, runs on its own Merit ladder: six thresholds from 500 to 3,000 Merit, each paying a flat 150 Reactor Crystals. Sweep all six in a week and the total is 900 Reactor Crystals, about 2.5 Revelations, resetting every week. The Hilbert's Hotel guide covers the full ladder and stage list.
Both modes also feed a currency sink worth knowing about before you spend into it: the City Affairs "Free Time" stamina pool can be refilled early with Reactor Crystals, and a full 60-Free-Time refill cost 2,950 crystals in testing, over 8 Revelations for a single stamina top-up. That is steep enough that it reads as a whale-only convenience purchase rather than a source of extra content, and it is worth avoiding unless crystals are otherwise going unspent.

Chests and world pickups
Chests come in three tiers and the crystal payout scales with the tier. A gold chest, the top tier, drops 100 Reactor Crystals alongside 2,000 Ounce, 100 Reputation, and a pair of upgrade books. A blue chest drops exactly half the crystals at 50, with 1,500 Ounce and 30 Reputation.

Grey chests sit at the bottom of the ladder at 20 crystals, and the mailboxes scattered around Silvernia that you can lift mail from pay the same 20.
World puzzles are the weakest source in the game. Lighting Recalibration, one of the Fresnel Reactor light-alignment challenges, pays 5 Reactor Crystals.

At 5 crystals each you would need 72 puzzles for a single Revelation, so the crystals are not the reason to solve them. The same completion pays 2,000 Ounce and 30 Reputation, and Reputation is what gates your account level, which is the actual argument for doing them.
Commissions pay by category, not by length
Silver Palace sorts its side content into named commission categories on the board, and the crystal payout tracks the category label rather than how long the job takes. The categories visible in the CBT2 commission list are City Errands, Business Expansion, Private Requests, Curious Cases, and Major Cases.
At the bottom, City Errands and Business Expansion jobs pay 50 crystals. City Exploration, a Business Expansion job for Felix in Morgue Street, pays 50 Reactor Crystals and 2,000 Ounce.

Private Requests pay 180. Bewildered Bunny and Mr Horse, a Private Request in Morgue Street, Meadow, pays 500 EXP, 180 Reactor Crystals, and 20,000 Ounce.

Curious Cases pay 600, and the rest of the reward scales up with them. The Resurrection Enigma in Riverside, Morgue Street pays 1,000 EXP, 600 Reactor Crystals, 150,000 Ounce, and six purple upgrade materials.

That is a twelvefold spread between the smallest errand and a Curious Case, which makes the category label the fastest way to judge whether a marker on the map is worth the detour. Major Cases sit above Curious Cases in the same list as the main story chain, and their crystal payout was not captured on stream.
The two progression ladders
Two long reward tracks pay out crystals for account milestones rather than for individual quests, and between them they are the largest single block of crystals in the build.
City Wanderer's Guide is a permanent City Event with a flat structure. Each of its five objectives pays 200 Reactor Crystals and 20,000 Ounce, so a full clear is 1,000 crystals, or 2.8 pulls. The objectives are broad account goals rather than quests: complete three different Incident types, finish an Ongoing Project at Level 5, raise one character's Trust to Level 5, give three gifts each to two separate characters, and reach 30% exploration progress in any three quarters.

City Records, under the Agenda menu, is the multi-phase track and it pays more. Phase 1 hands over 1,000 Reactor Crystals as its phase completion reward, bundled with 4,000 EXP, 20,000 Ounce, and a gold book. Individual objectives inside the phase then carry crystals of their own: 200 for the Mental Breakthrough advancement test, which unlocks at Reputation Level 20, and 300 for unlocking the Riverside Cognito Pin. Add the phase reward to the objective bonuses and Phase 1 is 1,500 crystals, or just over four pulls.

Phase 1 is the first of several. It is worth clearing early for the flat 1,000, and the objectives it asks for are ones you would complete anyway while working through the opening chapters.
What 360 per pull actually buys
| Goal | Reactor Crystals |
|---|---|
| One Revelation | 360 |
| A 10-pull | 3,600 |
| Guaranteed featured 5-star Motive, 80 Revelations | 28,800 |
| Guaranteed featured 5-star character, 100 Revelations | 36,000 |
The 36,000 is the number to plan around if you are chasing a specific character. Funding a ceiling from zero is 360 gold chests, or 24 full City Records phases at Phase 1's rate, or about 257 days of dailies at 140 a day. Nobody funds a ceiling from a single source in practice, but the scale is why individual exploration payouts feel small: a gold chest is 0.28 of one pull, and the ceiling is 100 pulls.
Is 360 per pull expensive?
The 360 price drew immediate comparisons to the 160 that several other open-world gacha games charge, but the raw number does not survive on its own. A pull price only means something next to the income rate attached to it.
The metric that does survive is days per pull. At 140 Reactor Crystals a day from dailies, 360 per pull is one Revelation every 2.6 days. An economy charging 160 per pull while paying about 62 a day would land on exactly the same rate. Silver Palace has denominated its currency at a little over twice the usual scale and scaled the payouts to match, which is why a gold chest at 100 and a daily at 140 look generous next to the equivalents in a 160-cost game.
Where the CBT2 numbers do look thin is at the two ends. World puzzles at 5 crystals are 1.4% of a pull, low enough that the reward reads as an afterthought against the time they take. And the largest sources here are front-loaded and finite: the two progression ladders and a one-time sweep of the map's chests do not renew. Once Silvernia is cleared out, income falls back to dailies plus whatever events run. The CBT2 build also shipped without a store, so there is no monthly pass or top-up pricing to weigh against any of this yet.
What could not be verified
Every figure tagged Screenshot in the table above came off an in-game reward panel. These did not, and are community reports from the same CBT2 streams:
- Grey chests at 20 crystals and mailboxes at 20. Reported but not captured.
- Dailies at 140 to 160 a day. Recalled from stream rather than screenshotted, so the exact daily rate is unsettled. Every daily-based calculation on this page uses the lower 140.
- Horse racing first clears paying 300, 200 and 100 crystals for first, second and third place across three tracks. Sourced secondhand from a tweet. The Minigames Guide covers how the racing mode works.
- 40 crystals every 12 hours for assisting with City Affairs. A single community report.
- 300 crystals for completing a main story act. A single community report.
- Roughly 8,800 crystals across six City Records phases. One player's own count, extrapolated well past the Phase 1 panel shown above.
All of this is beta data. The Dichotomy Beta ends with a full data wipe on August 13, and reward economies are among the most commonly retuned systems between a closed beta and launch. Read these numbers as the shape of the economy rather than as launch values. The reward survey and screenshots come from a CBT2 write-up by u/Abishinzu on r/SilverPalaceOfficial.
If you are working out where to spend the crystals, the Gacha Guide has the full rate and pity tables, How the Silver Palace Gacha Works covers the Mind Shard duplicate economy that softens a lost 50/50, and the Reroll Guide is the cheapest route from a fresh account to a strong one. For where dailies, City Records and the Info Exchange sit inside the daily loop, see what changed between the Monotype and Dichotomy betas.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does a pull cost in Silver Palace?
One Revelation costs 360 Reactor Crystals. You exchange crystals for Shots at the Argent Docks, and Judgement Shots, Deduction Shots, Standard Shots and Bullets of Insight all cost 360 each, so a 10-pull is 3,600 Reactor Crystals on any banner.
How many gems do chests give in Silver Palace?
Gold chests give 100 Reactor Crystals, blue chests give 50, and grey chests give 20. Mailboxes around the city also give 20. The gold and blue figures come off CBT2 reward panels; the grey chest and mailbox figures are community-reported.
Which quests give the most Reactor Crystals in Silver Palace?
Commission payout tracks the category. City Errands and Business Expansion jobs pay 50 Reactor Crystals, Private Requests pay 180, and Curious Cases pay 600. A single Curious Case is worth twelve City Errands.
How many Reactor Crystals do you get per day in Silver Palace?
Dailies were reported at 140 to 160 Reactor Crystals a day during CBT2. At 140 a day that is one Revelation every 2.6 days, or roughly 12 pulls a month before chests, commissions and events are counted.
How many Reactor Crystals do you need for a guaranteed 5-star?
36,000. The featured 5-star character is guaranteed at 100 Revelations and each Revelation costs 360. A guaranteed featured 5-star Motive is 80 Revelations, or 28,800 Reactor Crystals.
Is 360 per pull expensive in Silver Palace?
Not once income is scaled in. A 360 pull price against 140 crystals a day from dailies is one pull every 2.6 days, the same rate as a game charging 160 per pull and paying about 62 a day. Silver Palace uses a larger currency denomination, not a worse rate.
Will Silver Palace gem rewards change before launch?
Very likely at least in part. These are CBT2 figures, the beta ends with a full data wipe on August 13, 2026, and reward economies are routinely retuned between a closed beta and release.
How many pulls does Silver Palace's endgame content give?
A full 10-stage Thought Experiment clear (labeled "Thought Experiment" in this build) pays roughly 4,000 Reactor Crystals, about 11.1 Revelations, as a one-time total. The weekly Hilbert's Hotel Merit ladder pays 900 Reactor Crystals, about 2.5 Revelations, every week it is fully cleared.
