Silver Palace Multiplayer and House of Greed

A single-player detective RPG with a multiplayer mode announced and unexplained. What the trailer showed, what the PlayStation Store listing declares, and what is still blank.

House of GreedSingle-player campaignRelease window TBA

The short answer is that Silver Palace is a single-player game with a multiplayer mode announced and not yet explained.

That sounds like a hedge. It is not. There are two separate facts here and most write-ups collapse them into one. A mode called House of Greed was revealed in a trailer on August 25, 2026, and it is real. Nothing about it has shipped, been dated, or been described, and the PlayStation Store's own metadata still files the game as taking one network player.

This page keeps those two things apart, because the gap between them is the whole story right now.

What House of Greed is

IGN published the 88-second House of Greed trailer on August 25, 2026, the day before gamescom opened in Cologne. It is the cut that ran in the 09:00 Trailer Showcase slot at the Silver Palace booth, Hall 6.1 Stand C021.

Most of the trailer is the detective campaign as it already plays. The last stretch is not. It is shot from a different camera angle, lit differently, and pitched at a different kind of tension, and it shows people being hunted. That is the reveal, a mode change inside the same trailer rather than a switch from gameplay to a cinematic.

The trailer closes on the line it is named for: "If greed comes at a cost, what price would you pay to bring back someone you love?" The full trailer breakdown covers the narration, the Purists reference and the Silverium corruption the figure above is showing.

What the trailer does not do is explain the mode. Party size, rules, objectives, whether you cooperate or compete, and when any of it arrives are all blank.

What the PlayStation Store listing actually declares

This is the part nobody else is reading, and it complicates the multiplayer story rather than confirming it.

The PlayStation Store concept listing (10015692, filed by ELEMENTA GAMES PTE. LTD.) carries a compatibility notice with five lines. Checked September 1, 2026:

Listing line What it means
In-game purchases optional The game is free to play with optional spending, consistent with the other three storefronts.
Online play required An internet connection is required to play at all. This is the first place Elementa has declared that.
Vibration function supported (DualSense wireless controller) The only DualSense feature named. No adaptive trigger or haptic support is claimed.
1 network players Sony's network-player field, as filed today, declares a single network player.
PS5 Pro Enhanced The first confirmation of PS5 Pro support. No resolution or frame-rate figure is attached.

Two of those are new information that has not appeared anywhere else. PS5 Pro Enhanced is the first confirmation that the game supports PlayStation 5 Pro at all, and online play required is the first time Elementa has declared the game always-online on any storefront.

The line that matters for this page is "1 network players". Sony's network-player field describes how many people the game connects together. As the listing stands today, it says one.

Report that as what it is, a measurement taken on a specific day from a listing that is visibly unfinished. The release date field reads Coming Soon with nothing behind it and the ESRB rating is still Pending. Storefront metadata gets revised, and a publisher filing a listing months before launch files what is true for the build they are describing. No cause is asserted here, and you should distrust anyone who asserts one.

What can be said plainly is that as of September 1, 2026, no storefront declares Silver Palace as supporting more than one networked player.

The ESRB descriptor is not multiplayer evidence

The same listing carries "Online Interactions Not Rated by the ESRB" and "Game Experience May Change During Online Play". Those get quoted as proof of multiplayer, and they are not. Both are standard notices attached to any game with online features, including chat, live-service events and a store. They confirm Silver Palace has online interactions, which "online play required" already told you. They say nothing about how many people are in a session.

The evidence for House of Greed is the trailer. It is good evidence. It just is not the storefront.

Both betas were single-player

The Monotype beta in January 2026 and the Dichotomy beta from July 23 to August 13, 2026 both shipped the campaign with no multiplayer content of any kind. No co-op, no party system, no friend list, no matchmaking, no shared world, no invite flow. Roughly 40 hours of Dichotomy content and none of it involved another player.

That is worth stating because it sets the baseline. Everything Silver Palace has actually let people play is a game you play alone. The Dichotomy beta review and the Monotype beta review both cover builds with no multiplayer in them.

The campaign systems point the same way. Interrogation reads one suspect's trait chart. The Evidence Board assembles one hypothesis. Companionship writes scenes for one person and one character. None of that has a second player in it, and House of Greed being shot as a separate thing in a separate part of the trailer fits that.

What has not been announced

Everything below is genuinely blank. If you find a page that fills one of these in, check where it got the number.

  • How many players House of Greed takes
  • Whether it is cooperative, competitive or asymmetric
  • How you find other players: matchmaking, invites, friend lists
  • Whether it launches with the game or later
  • What it rewards, and whether it feeds campaign progression
  • Whether it appears on all four platforms
  • Any second multiplayer mode

The next real signal will be either an Elementa post or a revised storefront listing. The third beta test is the most likely place House of Greed becomes playable, and Elementa has not said it will be in that build either.

Cross-play, cross-save and account linking

None of the three has been announced.

Silver Palace is a free-to-play game launching on PC, PlayStation 5, iOS and Android at once, which makes shared progression the obvious design and makes "cross-save is expected" a tempting sentence to write. Elementa has not said it, so this page will not either, and neither will the platforms guide, which tracks every per-store detail.

Two things are worth separating, because the words get used interchangeably. Cross-play means people on different devices in the same session, and it only becomes a question once House of Greed has rules. Cross-save means your account carrying between your own devices, and it is a single-player concern that matters to every player regardless of what House of Greed turns out to be. Neither is announced. The second one is the one to actually want.

What to expect

On the record: a single-player detective RPG, always-online, free to play, on four platforms, with a multiplayer mode announced in a trailer and filed nowhere.

If you are deciding whether to pre-register based on multiplayer, do not. Pre-register because the campaign looks good, which the pre-release verdict argues it does. House of Greed might be the mode that keeps the game alive after the campaign runs out, or it might be a mode that arrives a year after launch and asks you to come back. Nothing published lets you tell those apart yet, and this page will say so until something does.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Silver Palace multiplayer?

Not today. Silver Palace is a single-player detective RPG, and both closed betas were single-player throughout. A multiplayer mode called House of Greed was revealed in the final segment of IGN's gamescom 2026 trailer on August 25, 2026, with no release window attached. As of September 1, 2026 the PlayStation Store listing still declares "1 network players", so nothing multiplayer is filed as shipping yet.

Can you play Silver Palace with friends?

No, and there is no announced way to. No co-op, party, friend list, matchmaking or invite system has been shown in either beta or described by Elementa. House of Greed is the only multiplayer content that has been revealed, and how it groups players has not been explained.

What is House of Greed in Silver Palace?

A multiplayer mode revealed at the end of the 88-second House of Greed trailer that IGN published on August 25, 2026, the day before gamescom opened in Cologne. The closing segment is shot and lit differently from the campaign footage before it, and it shows people being hunted. Elementa has not described how the mode plays, how many players it takes, or when it arrives.

Is Silver Palace co-op or PvP?

Neither has been stated. The trailer footage shows people being hunted and the thing hunting them, which reads as asymmetric survival rather than the campaign investigation loop, but that is a reading of a trailer and not an announcement. Treat any specific claim that House of Greed is co-op, or that it is PvP, as a guess.

Is Silver Palace single player?

Yes. The campaign is a single-player detective RPG. You investigate cases, interrogate suspects, gather evidence and assemble it on the Evidence Board alone. The Monotype and Dichotomy betas both shipped that campaign with no multiplayer content of any kind.

Does Silver Palace need an internet connection?

Yes. The PlayStation Store listing carries "Online play required" in its compatibility notice, checked September 1, 2026. That is an always-online requirement rather than a multiplayer feature, and it is normal for a free-to-play gacha game.

Does Silver Palace have cross-play or cross-save?

Neither has been announced. Elementa has published nothing about cross-progression, account linking between platforms, or playing with people on other devices. The game ships on PC, PlayStation 5, iOS and Android simultaneously, which makes shared progression an obvious design, but an obvious design is not an announcement.

When does House of Greed release?

Unannounced. The mode has no release window, and Silver Palace itself has no release date. The PlayStation listing reads Coming Soon with an empty date field and its ESRB rating is still pending.
