Silver Palace Monotype Beta Test Recap
Silver Palace Monotype Beta Recap: Every Character, Reward & System Revealed
The Monotype closed beta was the first time most players got hands on Silver Palace instead of watching trailers. It ran a tight five days, handed out a surprising amount of free stuff, and gave us the clearest look yet at how the game actually plays. Here's everything that came out of it, and what it means heading toward launch.
If you're new to the game, this recap doubles as a roster primer — every character below links to a full guide.
When the Monotype beta ran
The Monotype Closed Beta Test ran from January 13, 2026 at 5:00 AM UTC through January 18, 2026 at 2:00 AM UTC — roughly five days. Recruitment had closed earlier, on January 5, and access distribution went out in the days before launch. It was a PC-focused test, in line with the game's planned PC, Android, and iOS release.
This was the first global closed beta, originally announced back on December 19, 2025.
Characters playable in the beta
The beta confirmed and showed off a chunk of the roster. The element and role data below reflects what the beta and current sources establish — and corrects some bad early data that circulated afterward.
| Character | Rarity | Element | Role | Note |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Detective | 5★ | Adaptable | Hero | The protagonist; guaranteed |
| Cinderella | 5★ | Ignis | Hero | Day 2 sign-in reward |
| Cynthia II | 5★ | Ignis | Witness | Luna's Scion; Crystal Exchange |
| Lorin | 4★ | Fulmen | Guardian | Chief Inspector; electric boxing |
| Alf | 4★ | Ignis | Hero | MISS Maid No. 49; flamethrower |
| Argos | 4★ | Unconfirmed | Support | MISS bartender |
| Firtho | 4★ | Radiatio | Guardian | The Corner Clinic doctor |
A quick correction, because it spread widely: Lorin is a male 4★ Fulmen Guardian, not the female 5★ ice support some post-beta guides claimed. Firtho is Radiatio, not Fulmen. We've sorted the details in each character's guide — start with Lorin and Firtho if you want the corrected breakdowns.
Worth noting: Red Rose, the flame-wielding dancer shown in the trailer, is a non-playable NPC and boss — not a recruitable character, despite a few lists treating her as one.
Beta sign-in rewards
The daily login rewards were generous, and they tell you what the team wanted testers using:
- Day 1: Ounce × 100,000
- Day 2: Cinderella (the 5★ Fire carry)
- Day 3: Reactor Crystal × 5,000
- Day 4: Motive — "Riddle of the Other Half"
- Day 5: Reactor Crystal × 5,000
On top of that, Cynthia II was available through the Crystal Exchange. Handing testers a 5★ Fire DPS on Day 2 and a matching 5★ Fire support to redeem is not an accident — they wanted people building and feeling out a full Fire Resonance team.
Gameplay systems on show
The beta put Silver Palace's combat and investigation loops in players' hands for the first time.
Combat leaned on a parry system and perfect-dodge timing — react correctly and you open punish windows, mistime it and you eat the hit. It's the kind of system that rewards learning enemy animations over mashing. Our combat guide goes deeper on the parry and stagger mechanics.
Investigation is what sets the game apart. The real-time Sherlock Scan, clue collection, and deduction loop turn the Detective into an actual detective between fights, not just a sword with legs. If that loop intrigues you, the deduction system guide breaks it down.
The bigger picture: this is an open-world action RPG on Unreal Engine 5, and the beta build showed the visual ambition that implies. Whether your machine can run it at launch is a separate question — we covered the system requirements elsewhere.
What the beta signals for launch
Two honest takeaways.
First, the systems are real and they work. A parry-driven combat model plus a genuine investigation loop is an ambitious combination, and the beta suggests both are further along than vaporware-stage.
Second — and this is the part nobody wants to hear — there's still no release date. No launch window, no second-beta date confirmed at the time of writing. The game has passed two million pre-registrations and run its first global beta, but Elementa hasn't committed to when it ships. We track what's actually confirmed in the release date guide, and we'll update it the moment that changes.
What to do now
If the beta sold you, the move is straightforward: pre-register, and start planning your team. A Fire core built around Cinderella, with Cynthia II supporting and Alf covering AoE, is the team the beta practically handed players — and a sensible default to aim for at launch. Compare the full roster in the tier list.
